After ticket holders from 41 states and 6 countries enjoyed Metro Theater Company’s (MTC) virtual all-St. Louis reading of A Christmas Carol in 2020, MTC is bringing this one-of-a-kind event to life on stage at the Sheldon Concert Hall as an in-person fundraiser with COVID-safety protocols.

All medically-eligible patrons attending this event will be asked to show proof of full vaccination prior to entering the venue. Patrons should be prepared to show their vaccination card or a photo of their vaccination card, alongside a valid government-issued ID. Any adults over the age of 12 who are not medically eligible to receive a vaccination must provide proof of medical ineligibility and a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours before the time of entry into the event. Metro Theater Company encourages those who are unvaccinated to enjoy this program during its streaming broadcast Dec. 18 – 25 rather than create health risks to themselves or others by attending a large public gathering.

Local and national St. Louis celebrities join us both in person and remotely to read excerpts from Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, interspersed by live musical performances, a joyful start to the holiday season, with all proceeds directly benefiting MTC’s mission of nurturing meaningful learning through the arts.

All ticket buyers get special advance access to the new 2021 streaming version of A Christmas Carol, airing later in December, including readers from both years of the event. In addition, all can enjoy a dessert and champagne reception after the program.

When you order: Please select your section and the number of members of your party at time of purchase. To ensure safe social distancing in the concert hall, Metro Theater Company will be assigning your seat locations closer to the date of the event. Seating will only be available in alternate rows and a minimum of two empty seats will be placed between parties attending. If you are attending with friends and want to ensure seats from two different orders are together, please contact Metro Theater Company directly at community@metroplays.org.

This is a fundraising event, and $40 of your $55 ticket is a fully tax-deductible contribution to Metro Theater Company. Any additional contributions made with the purchase of your ticket are fully tax-deductible as well. All tickets purchased through MetroTix also include a light dessert and champagne reception after the program.

If you wish to join MTC with a patron level ticket, including a pre-show dinner reception, you must purchase those tickets through the Metro Theater Company website: www.metroplays.org/holiday-fundraiser.
