The Sheldon is pleased to welcome cutting-edge chamber orchestra Alarm Will Sound for what they are calling their "St. Louis Season." The ensemble performs the newest music being composed today with energetic virtuosity and a sense of adventure, creating programs that not only span a wide range of styles, but also innovate the traditional concert experience itself. The New York Times calls Alarm Will Sound "the future of classical music" and "one of the most vital and original ensembles on the American Music scene."
This performance will preview their Carnegie Hall program, consisting of brand-new works written specifically for Alarm Will Sound by Steve Reich, Donnacha Dennehy and John Orfe.
