Born in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1978, Alejandro Ziegler graduated from UCA music university in composition and orchestra conducting. As a pianist, he joined the Buenos Aires City's Tango Orchestra, "Orquesta escuela de Tango." There, he performed for over two years under famous conductors Emilio Balcarce and Nestor Marconi.
As a composer, he released several works of chamber and orchestral music.
The year 2007 saw the birth of "Alejandro Ziegler Quartette." With this group of musicians, he recreated tango classics as well as his own original compositions. Their repertoire of classical tango, performed in the style of the most famous orchestras, such as Troilo, Pugliese, Di Sarli and Piazolla, was recorded on their first CD in 2008.
