Music For Lifelong Achievement

Give the gift of music by donating your unused instruments to the Music For Lifelong Achievement (MFLA) program! Part of The Sheldon’s education programs, MFLA works with area schools and organizations to distribute instruments to those in need.

Your donation ensures that kids of all backgrounds are given the opportunity to grow and express themselves through the power of music.

Instruments can be dropped off at The Sheldon any time between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please call our reception desk at 314.533.9900 to let us know when you plan to come by.

The Sheldon is located at 3648 Washington Blvd. St. Louis, MO 63108. You may park just east of The Sheldon (in between the Sheldon and the Fox Theatre) and deliver your instruments to the white stage door. Please use the buzzer for entry. We will have a donation form ready for you to fill out when you arrive. Masks are required in The Sheldon at this time.

April is MFLA Month!

April is Music For Lifelong Achievement (MFLA) month at The Sheldon!

This year, MFLA’s April instrument collection drive will benefit Sumner High School, which recently announced that it will remain open, with a focus on arts and activism, after being slated to close by the St. Louis City School Board earlier this year. The oldest high school for African Americans west of the Mississippi River, Sumner High’s notable alumni includes Tina Turner, Chuck Berry, Robert McFerrin and Lester Bowie.
