Drummer and bandleader Herlin Riley kicked off The Sheldon Rhythm & Jazz series in November 2021. The series was sponsored by the Steward Family Foundation. -
The Sheldon’s 5th Annual “Golf the Galleries” course welcomed thousands of golfers of all ages in summer 2022. “Golf the Galleries” was sponsored by UMB Bank. -
The Sheldon’s All-Star Chorus, led by Maria A. Ellis, is made up some of the most talented high school singers in the metro area, thanks to the support of the Centene Charitable Foundation, and many other generous donors. -
Femi Kuti closed out the Whitaker World Music Concerts series in June 2022. The series was made possible by the Whitaker Foundation. -
The Salvation Army hosted their Reimagine 75 fashion show fundraiser in the newly-renovated Konneker Room. -
Students learn about the art of dance through Ballet314’s “Sleeping Beauty.” -
The Sheldon’s Gala made a radiant return in 2022 with Broadway star Heather Headley. The Gala was underwritten by the Steward Family Foundation and Michael and Noemi Neidorff. -

Students from throughout the St. Louis region participate in The Sheldon’s SOLID Music program, a STEAM-based project that teaches the engineering cycle through instrument creation. SOLID is made possible by grants from Edward Jones, The Lucille Papendick Fund of the St. Louis Community Foundation, and the Les Paul Foundation, and presented in collaboration with the Saint Louis Science Center. -
Ben Bradshaw’s INNERWHRLD installation transcended the walls of the art galleries. -
Sheldon events are powered by volunteers who serve as ushers, ticket takers and greeters. -
Kendrick Smith performed under the stars for the return of Picnics on the Plaza. The series was sponsored by Nancy and Ken Kranzberg.
