Sheldon Sound Studio
Sheldon Sound Studio emphasizes the science, art and technology of sound and challenges middle school students to create their own sound art that communicates a message.
- Schools receive six videos and lesson plans that span topics from how sound is produced to communication through sound to technology’s role in sound art. Kits with contact microphones and amplifiers are provided.
- Primary subjects: science, art, technology, engineering
- Sound Studio curriculum correlates to science and art Missouri Learning Standards for grades 6-8.
Payment Scale Information
Payment for Sound Studio is scaled to match the percentage of your school’s population that is eligible to receive free or reduced lunch, according to DESE. See below for information:
- Level 1 $150.00
- Less thank 20% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch
- Level 2 $95.00
- 20-50% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch.
- Level 3 $0.00
- More than 50% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch
- Sound Studio kits include 15 contact microphones and 1 amplifier for a class of 30 students.
