Educational Opportunities at The Sheldon Galleries

Join us for thoughtful, age-appropriate tours of We Each Hold Stories, led by The Sheldon Gallery Director and co-Curator, Paula Lincoln.

We Each Hold Stories features 17 established and emerging Indigenous American artists co-curated by Tom Jones of the Ho-Chunk Nation and Paula Lincoln of The Sheldon. The work explores themes of personal experience, family, history, and current social issues. Each artist adheres to a shared tradition of storytelling in their work. By using traditional materials and techniques, they make connections between the past, present and the future.

  • Plan 30 minutes for the guided tour and 30 minutes for the activity to follow.
  • The maximum capacity is 35 students. Groups with 70 students can be divided into two consecutive tours, totaling 60 minutes.
