Edie Anderson (aka) Your Lady Edie Bee has been preeminent in the field of jazz and R&B in St. Louis for years as one of its most popular hosts and promoters. She has taken the lead in jazz appreciation and presentation in various positions with leading St. Louis Radio stations, hosting her own shows showcasing the best in jazz.

After years off air “Your Lady Edie B.”  is once again host of her own straight-ahead jazz show R.S.V.P (Rare Songs, Very Personal), aired live each Sunday from 10 p.m. through midnight on 88.1 KDHX FM (kdhx.org) in St. Louis MO. She has also added “Author/Playwright” to her resume with the writing of her first stage play, “Jazz in My Soul/a Marvin Gaye Fantasy”(now in book form). Bringing jazz and community together has always been Edie’s goal, she is now CEO of JIMS Inc., and founder of the National Jazz Heritage Foundation in her home city, she also serves as a board member of the National Black Radio Hall of Fame. Edie is married to jazz musician (bass & sax) Jeffrey Anderson of St. Louis, MO.

MYSTIC VOYAGE has been providing the Saint Louis community with high-energy performances since its’ inception in June of 1982. The band’s repertoire, spanning the decades from the 1940’s and beyond, cuts a wide groove through many styles of music such as big band, reggae, hip-hop, blues traditional ethnic folk songs, traditional and contemporary jazz, and of course, classic Motown and R & B!

The members of MYSTIC VOYAGE are: Leland M. Crenshaw, (lead guitar, lead and background vocal); Cornelius M. Davis, Sr. (keyboards, lead/background vocals); David Green (keyboards, lead/background vocals); Sylvia Herron (lead/background vocals); Carlos Hughes (drums, lead/background vocals); and Lonnie Henderson (bass
guitar).

MYSTIC VOYAGE released a CD project during the summer of 1999, under the watchful eye of sax man Fred Walker, entitled Blues In A Red Dress, featuring Fred Walker and Friends. The project is a compilation of ten original and cover songs, arranged, orchestrated and produced by the members of MYSTIC VOYAGE.

Highlights of the band’s musical journey include appearances with the Ramsey Lewis Trio, Roy Ayers [writer and producer of the song ‘Mystic Voyage’, which inspired the band’s
name], Pieces of A Dream, the late Phyliss Hyman and Jimmy Witherspoon, the Jazz Crusaders, Bo Diddley, Jr., Taylor Dane, Bruce Purse, Prince Charles Alexander and Vincent Henry.

MYSTIC VOYAGE also has the distinct honor of providing the musical accompaniment for several theatrical productions with The Saint Louis Black Repertory Company (‘The Black Rep), directed by Founder and Producing Director, Ron Himes, including: Dressin’
Up, Steppin’ Out, and Gettin’ Down!; The Me Nobody Knows; and the company’s R & B smash box office hit Tell Me Somethin’ Good!

MYSTIC VOYAGE has performed at numerous civic and corporate events such as the grand opening of the America’s Center; the Mayor’s Ball (1993); the Taste of Saint Louis
(downtown); the Taste of the Central West End; Better Family Life’s Annual Unity Ball; FOCUS Saint Louis ‘Movers and Shakers’; and many others.

Adrianne Felton King has been performing locally for close to 30 years.

Her live music career began as a Motown music/Oldies performer w/the all-girl trio, “SATIN” of which she was a member for 20 years.

She is the featured vocalist of the smooth jazz and R&B quintet,

“The Coleman-Hughes Project featuring Adrianne” and has been going strong for 8 years.

Her voice extends beyond the front lines as a background vocalist for many St. Louis entertainers as well as for many national artists who have performed in this city.

In addition, Adrianne has dabbled in studio recording, musical theater, and of course solo performances, but she is determined to never stay in ONE music box.

Donald Williams aka “Uncle Donald” has been a member of Brock Walker’s EWF Tribute Band, since 2003.  An Auxiliary Hand Percussionist, Williams has previously performed with: The Washington University Jazz Band, Meramec Community College Jazz & Jazz/Rock Band, and has studied at Katherine Dunham School of the Arts (East St. Louis).  He currently performs with the Soul Café Jazz Group.

Tops’.

Sylvia (Sybol) Herron has emerged as a prolific, consistently engaging vocalist on the St. Louis music scene. Known for her high energy performances and musical diversity, she has been the delight of many audiences including local, national and international. Herron began singing in the children’s choir at the church where her father was assistant pastor.  Her gospel roots are unmistakably evident in her unique, soul-stirring sound that has caused even the quintessential music skeptic to stop and take notice.

Throughout her career, Herron has performed with and/or opened for several national recording artists such as the Temptations, the Four Tops, Cameo, George Duke, Rachelle Farrell and Roy Ayers.  She won international acclaim, and received rave reviews as part of a music ensemble that toured several European countries such as Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Italy.

Sylvia has made her mark as a multi-dimensional vocalist who is as equally at home with performing jazz and R&B as she is with performing urban contemporary, pop, and gospel.
