The Sheldon's All-Star Chorus

Showcasing some of the best young musicians in St. Louis, The Sheldon’s All-Star Chorus provides students with invaluable skills that prepare them for their futures—no matter what their dreams may be.

The All-Star Chorus offers high school students access to music instruction, performance experience, and community-building throughout the school year. Led by Artistic Director, Maria A. Ellis, the program provides students with a tuition-free program, inclusive and accessible to all. Students receive professional-level music instruction, performance experience, including opportunities to travel, leadership skill development, and weekly rehearsal with dinner and transportation provided.

Thank you for your interest in auditioning with the All-Star Chorus. At this time, we have filled all of our available Soprano, Alto, and Tenor spots with our chorus for our 2026-2027 season. We are only able to accept audition requests from Bass singers.

An audition for the All-Star Chorus takes about 10 minutes.

Auditioners come prepared with one song to sing acapella from memory. Any style of music is acceptable. Choose something that shows off your voice.

Ms. Maria will then lead you through some voice exercises to discover you strengths and range, and see how you adapt to learning new music. Audition results are sent via email.

As part of a comprehensive choral program, The Sheldon strives to offer travel opportunities to All-Star Chorus members every other year. Help us continue to fund the chorus’ travel fund with a gift today!
