The student ensembles will each perform a set of music rehearsed over the fall semester. Join us for an afternoon of selections by Count Basie and Duke Ellington, with Christmas and gospel choral arrangements performed by the Chorus.

Showcasing the best young musicians in St. Louis, The Sheldon and HEAL Center for the Arts’ North County Big Band, led by Harvey Lockhart, and The Sheldon’s City of Music All-Star Chorus, led by Maria A. Ellis, provide students with invaluable skills that prepare them for their futures—no matter what their dreams may be. Though the 21-22 school looks different, the ensembles generally perform twice-yearly at The Sheldon, as well as throughout the school year at special events and for community partners.

This concert is in-person at The Sheldon but will also stream on The Sheldon’s Facebook page and YouTube channel for those unable to make it in person.

The health and safety of guests, staff, artists and volunteers is The Sheldon’s top priority. Anyone aged 12 or older, attending a ticketed event at The Sheldon, will be asked to show proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 48 hours before time of entry into the event. Patrons should be prepared to show their vaccination card, or proof of negative COVID test, or a photo of their vaccination card or test results on their mobile devices, before entering The Sheldon. Self-administered tests will not be accepted.

This concert will stream live on The Sheldon’s Facebook and YouTube pages. Click the links below to tune in!
